Good Stuff: We Come in Pieces

This morning ‘Night of The Living’ the new album from We Come in Pieces, Limerick’s speedy, trash punk merchants has just arrived in the musiclimerick inbox freshly burned from the mixing desk at Wav Mastering Studio. Night of The Living is the second album from the band only on the go since 2010 but have already shared the stage with Frank Turner, And So I Watch You From Afar, Tubelord and Adebisi Shank. The first album was recorded after the band were together just three week and it was a short, sharp shock of hardcore energy, so for the follow up, has the band mellowed?, not a chance, they stamped on the accelerator
and made an even tighter, faster, bigger, more ferocious record.
Right out of the traps with the title track, singer Kieran Hayes screams the battle cry, “We fight just to stay alive, an if we fail this time, we start over again, again, its that easy”.
Knowing, insider jokes like ‘Husker Don’t’ and ‘Kim Deal or no Deal’ are awesome and the bands stab at a “crossover hit” called ‘I’m throwing you into a Jet Engine (and there is nothing you can do about it) seals the deal on a big, fat, brilliant record. We Come In Pieces launch ‘Night of The Living’ at The Blind Pig on Foxes Bow this Friday February 17. Show kicks off at 11pm.
